A Modest Proposal
Foreman Cadenus, The number of souls left in this city dwindle by the day, and whomsoever is not taken by Bound will surely be taken by starvation. I yet again humbly offer for your consideration that we make use of the resources we have in abundance to stretch out those we do not. With our Transepts closed and the rest of the world lost in the Pale, our options are limited. Yet even in apocalypse, the people must eat! The Bound are not human, and the Hermetics swear they are not Fae. That leaves flora or fauna, and both are edible. I beg you, consider my proposal. In better times I would never have endeavoured to promote such awful work, but I care only for the publick good of what’s left of our city. Yours, Gulliver
